Muriel Chestnut - Founder/Dreamer

Muriel Chestnut has been at the forefront of importing and promoting Spanish horses (P.R.E.'s or Pura Raza Espanol) since she imported her incredible breeding stallion Soberbio XII in 2005 as a 4 yr old. Together, they have made waves in the industry by doing performances for the public including theatrical, Classical Dressage, Breed awareness at trade shows, and liberty demos at horse shows. This is a passion that runs deep in her soul! She feels strongly that this is a joy that should be shared, so that many others can experience the life changing magic that Spanish Horses exude!

Meredith Risk - Trainer/Presenter

Meredith Risk is an accomplished Grand Prix competitor and dedicated professional with over 30 years experience and an extraordinary ability to unmask a horse's greatest abilities. She has competed successfully from the FEI Young Horse classes to Grand Prix, winning numerous awards and Championships along the way. Her first experience with Spanish Horses was 11 years ago when she found a lovely PRE in Barcelona for a client. She fell in love with the intelligence, ride ability and talent of the Spanish Horse. Since that time, she has returned to Spain several times to find competitive, quality horses for her amateur clients. She is thrilled to be involved in a venture that brings more of these wonderful horses to the North American market. This hard working, talented and disciplined woman is the perfect fit as the headlining rider for Spanish Horses Canada!

Q: Do all your horses have current vet inspection reports and x-rays available?

A: Yes! Because each horse is hand selected in Spain, they each have their own recent veterinary reports and come with full sets of x-rays for your examination.

Q: Where are the horses located for viewing?

A: Appointments can be made through contacting Meredith Risk directly so that she can arrange a time that suits both parties. Meredith's business, Nobleton Dressage is based in King Township, approximately 40 mins north of Toronto, ON. Clients flying into Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) will find it convenient.

Q: Do you offer more than one horse at a time?

A: Yes! The horses are selected 3 at a time and flown together in a palette They all quarantine together at Muriel's farm located just north of Barrie, ON. From there, once cleared from quarantine by CFIA, the horses are all sent to Meredith's stable for viewing appointments. Each horse is selected for a slightly different criteria, ranging in training level, experience, competition background and/or colour and each reflect a graduated price structure.
